our day will come.

just a moment ago, a very interesting scenario occurred in my house. my mother, sister and father were all on the phone talking to their friends, while i was on msn talking to my friend. the yawning chasm between us grows exponentially with every invention of a device that is supposed to bridge the distance between individuals. does it make sense?

feeling rather conflicted lately, most of the people i have been whining to about my course of study in university have told me that i shouldn't be regretting now. not now, then when? i don't know if i should switch to arts because up to this point in life, i have only ever thought of running away. i refuse to be beaten by subjects i don't understand.

trying to do my critical thinking assignment now, perhaps i am a tad too opiniated because i keep brushing off certain arguments as sheer bigotry. realised this less than desirable fact about myself when i was reading the comments of the otto fong case.

alright, shall leave you with something our revered MM Lee said about gays. the article from which this excerpt was taken from can be found here.

Yet Lee, in his characteristic high-profile way, has pointed to the direction that Singapore must move – towards decriminalisation and tolerance. Why did he do that? It is clear from his prefacing remarks, that it had everything to do with economics. "If this is the way the world is going and Singapore is part of that interconnected world and I think it is, then I see no option for Singapore but to be part of it."

But the schizophrenia is evident from the next few lines: "If we want creative people then we got to put up with their idiosyncrasies. So long as they don't infect the heartland."

i always thought MM Lee was an iron man because i read from somewhere that he gets less than 8 hours of sleep a day yet he still finds enough energy to exercise and work, but now i think he's a titanium man because he displays all the properties of titanium :D
