across the universe felt like an acid trip down the 60s <3 the beatles.
then the journey back home was -.- my legendary sense of direction, or lack thereof, led us to a tour of the western part of singapore. this little anecdote will now be added to the list of things wj will never let me forget. this list contains stories that wj will repeat with gusto every time we meet up. i believe that even at 99 this story will be repeated to my grandchildren and that she'll eventually pen a memoir telling the whole world about The Shallot Story or the OBS story.
no. 1 on the list is the shallot story that will always be repeated every single time i do something slightly silly. i will put it up here so wj shall never have to repeat this on our outings. i burnt the shallots in our sec 2 home econs lesson because someone told me to microwave them for 5 min. wj smelt something burning but i refused to believe it was our shallots getting burnt. conclusion: we got black shallots.
no. 2 on this growing list is the black omelette. this also took place in home econs when i happily dumped dark sauce into our unbeaten egg. conclusion: we had black egg. however, because of this unique egg, we had the entire class crowded around our cooking bench so this story should not be on this list.
no.3 would be the highly exciting trip we had from cine to my house last night. we went from cine to tanglin, to queensway, to leng kee, to queensway again, to adam road, then macritchie, before i finally reached home. despite my parrot cry of, "we're reaching soon, this road goes to my house too!" we took about half an hour on the virtually empty roads of 1 am. i am so sorry for wasting your fuel wj. this is why i need to buy a GPS for my car even though some people think only losers need them in singapore.
the number of bimbo moments that have happened to me has increased exponentially since i entered uni. the only bimbo moment that i remembered from rg was me declaring aloud in bio that sharks had lungs but i've had a lot of such moments since i left rg. i am growing stupid, how?
