our day will come.

searched around for why tilting your head up for a long time makes you lose balance and i have two hypothesis. the loss of balance could be due to a drop in blood pressure, which i always thought was the sole cause of my blacking out and giddiness, the other could be an imbalance in your inner ear fluid. or it could be both.

when you tilt your head upwards for too long, it could lead to blood rushing from your head to some other part of your body. i think it might be your neck muscles which need all the blood from the sudden activity, as a result you might lose balance because your brain does not have enough energy to process all the information related to your surroundings i.e. if things around you are moving, are you still on flat land.

the other reason could be that your head is so used to being level with the ground that when you tilt it upwards and i assume you're moving your tilted head as you look at the sky, the fluid in your inner ear which is responsible for helping you to keep balance cannot find equilibrium (for the lack of a better word) so you feel off balanced.

then again, i could be horribly wrong and any med student worth his/her salt could be clucking in disapproval at my two theories. wait till i get my post grad med degree if i still feel like studying after my basic degree la, then i give you proper explanation.
