this was what my triumphant laughter was for wj! bacon wrapped enoki mushrooms, mushroom linguine and an apple pie for the princess consort. i don't know where i got the confidence to cook everything for the first time for the dinner but i figured if the men at wall street could get away with millions just by oozing style and confidence then i can make dinner. here are the pictures o domestic goddess
the first apple pie that i've ever made in my life. i didn't take a picture before i sliced it for my family to try which explains the shape, but look at the lattice! impressed or not. the dish beside it is SUPER YUMMY PRAWNS. cooked by my grandmother and adored by my sister, my sister once ate four plates of rice with the gravy.

the not so yummy apple pie, which looked more like a potato pie because the apples were slightly burnt. i am not tireless domestic goddess so never cut the shortening into the pie properly. plus i think i added less shortening in a bid to be more healthy so there were floury bits in the pie crust. in any case, i am marriageable material la, can cook and clean. not too good with sewing but good enough la huh.
on a completely separate note (don't worry, i am not doing a sumiko tan/chua mui hoong here), why are there so many undeserving people out there?! they're not funny, not smart, not pretty etc therefore they don't warrant the effort required to be friends/bf/gf with but still got people who love and care for them. whai.
TAKE THE STAMPS OFF YOUR EYES DAMN IT. there are better people out there and you're just wasting your time. i don't understand why i am concerned enough to feel indignant despite everything but yes, stupid that way. i need gummies.
