i am slightly early in this week's edition of nostalgic sunday. it is the swiss national day today so we shall be seeing beautiful fireworks later tonight. i am online at a slightly more sensible hour (singapore time, although no one important is online -.-) because we just went canyoning and we decided to conserve energy for our white water rafting tomorrow.
canyoning is WONDERFUL, we had to rappel 45m down at the beginning of our trip and there was just no turning back from that point onwards la huh. next, we jumped/slid off a few ledges, did a flying fox that ended in me plunging into the icy swiss streams (again) from a height of 4m? then there was the slipping on the mossy brown rocks which were not fun because my tender city palms are feeling the wear and tear on the rocks. apparently, the water for white water rafting is going to be colder so wish me luck friends.
i am finding it hard to believe just how many koreans there are in interlaken, my entire hostel is filled with them. i don't understand what they are doing here, they dress much better than us hobos and they're always made up so i am finding it hard to believe they are going white water rafting or anything. they are always cooking nong shim noodles with sausages/pizzas etc because swiss food is pretty expensive here. then there is this chinese family who cooks a frigging banquet every meal. last night, they had a mountain of pasta per person which could easily feed two people on top of salads and vegetables. then this morning, one of the aunties poured hot water into a jam jar and drank up the remains o.O
okay, now the exciting part. nostalgic sunday!
