our day will come.

i guess this is the power of a book, you read what a total stranger has to say and a tiny voice in you rejoices that someone out there has a better way with words than you could possibly ever hope to have. it's terrible but these days i have brief, intense bouts of reading then i am more than contented to let my brains atrophy while i watch inane shows before i get seized by another one of those fits.

alas, i have exhausted my seemingly endless supply of inane shows. more accurately, i have grown tired of avoiding my homework by watching stuff on youtube so i am reading the books i got at gatwick airport. i'm currently on haruki murakami's what i talk about when i talk about running which i bought because it's haruki murakami and as most of you know, i intend to do a marathon next year. although it will probably sound downright sacrilegious, i very much prefer this book to norwegian wood. but then i would have to read norwegian wood again so i can make a proper comparison.

thankfully, this book is a fairly thin read so i won't be able to put off my programming homework for long. i do enjoy what i am studying on the rare occasion, but i cannot help but wonder what i would have achieved if i didn't do a science course. it's too late for that of course. oh well.
