our day will come.

being one who has been relatively lucky health-wise, barring the odd skin condition or two, i think one of the more awful things that one could suffer from is insomnia. the inability to do something so natural is a little puzzling and extremely frustrating. what makes it worse is that there is generally an allotted time for this activity to take place, so while there might be others who are also tossing in their beds to find a cool spot/clear their minds, your suffering is thrown into stark relief (to yourself) because you assume everybody else is in peaceful slumber.

so there you lay in bed, sensing the world move on because you cannot partake in this communal activity whatever your timezone, listening to that bloody tap drip/the newspaper man deliver the papers/the insane bird whose calls get progressively hysterical in the ungodly hours of the morning. unfortunately for me, i just spent the past 4-5 hours with about 7 million thoughts racing through my head because of something i drank. but that also meant that i caught an interview with kit chan in cantonese because i am one of the few oddballs in singapore who listen to hk radio. flying off to hanoi in 2 hours, let's hope this wooziness fades.

note to self: liang teh is still teh i.e. got caffeine so don't drink at night please thanks.

nostalgic sunday, this one is a gem.
