our day will come.

subway is love, especially their cookies. but it was <3^10829374 when subway was in rj because cold cut trios only cost $2.90. i just realised that the abbreviation for the bachelor of engineering degree is B.Eng, and people wonder why certain stereotypes of engine students exist. found this on the nus engine website

We are known in the region for our state-of-the-art laboratories and outstanding faculty members. Our challenging programmes and dedicated faculty will push the limits of your creative, analytical and problem-solving powers. The friendly, yet tranquil environment of the Faculty of Engineering set on the undulating grounds of Kent Ridge offers the student space for reflection and inspiration.

outstanding faculty members is a highly questionable statement, i won't question their knowledge in their respective fields but some of them lack the ability to impart their knowledge to us. it's not just the language barrier, they just cannot teach. i do wonder how universities recruit their lecturers.

then the part about their environment; undulating is correct okay, the bloody faculty is built on a bleeding hill. actually, it's more like several hills of varying sizes, you need muscles to scale those stairs. to get from one building to another, you have to take lifts and walk for don't know how far. every building is as dreary and as ugly as the next so you cannot distinguish between the different buildings. 6th floor of EA leads to 4th floor of E1 which then leads to 6th floor of E3, madness lor. then they plaster boring posters of their many discoveries on the walls. ntu's engine is something like that too, is it characteristic of engineers to build something practical and entirely aesthetically unappealing?

then to prove their point of them offering students space for reflection and inspiration, they take pictures of greenery only. fyi reflection and inspiration are euphemisms for mugging and chionging hw. the ultimate proof of the ugliness that is inherent in most nus buildings is the SDE building. it's a tragedy how the school of design and environment is so monumentally boring.
