the stuff that has happened to my mother's side of the family reads like a channel 8 80 episode family drama with way too many drama cliches. it is surprising that i still can find it in me to trust people, although my faith in marriage and all that jazz has been shattered ages ago.
i think i have been very lucky in my friends so far; i have never worried about being betrayed or anything. i hope this will stay the same for a long long time. my mum just warned me about lawyers in her little talk. what a handy bit of advice to have when just about all your friends are lawyers to be.
